Whether Near or Far Apart, The Love from Loved Ones Forever Remain a Part of Our Heart ❤️
I'm originally from the Shenandoah Mountains of Virginia, where I attended a unique, 2-Room Elementary School (“Fort Valley Elementary”).
About Me / Bio:
I’ve inherited a passion for God, Spirituality, Philosophy, Research, & Natural Health from my father & ancestors. Both of my great-grandmothers were Native American. (My father’s grandmother was Cherokee & my mother’s grandmother was Pequot.) My grandmother (my mother’s mom) came here from Finland and was a homeopathic nurse in the 1940’s in Rhode Island.
My father was 52 when I was born! He was part Native American (1/4 Cherokee Indian), a Methodist, retired from Allied Chemical Company (the year I was born), a Korean War Vet, a Mechanic, a Fire Chief, and a Vegetable farmer. My father was a very influential part of my life, as he primarily raised me. He instilled “Old-Fashioned” values & taught me to utilize my intuition. As a child, I remember my father spending most evenings reading the Bible, Home Remedy Books, the Dictionary, or playing his guitar &/or banjo. My father passed away in 2008 of kidney failure, yet I constantly am reminded that he still watches over me by signs in nature.
Personal Background / Life Story:
My parents were separated since I was an infant. My mother suffered from mental illness & substance abuse, which caused our relationship to be strained. (My childhood was turbulent, to say the least, as I was subjected to both physical & emotional abuse.). I was emancipated at the age of 16, after relocating to Southeastern CT.
I’ve personally overcome & perpetually work on many obstacles in life ranging from abusive parents, sexual assault, PTSD, body image issues, relationship issues, death, divorce, etc. to say the least - which has equipped me with tools and coping mechanisms to help other people. What makes me different than many coaches is that along with obtaining knowledge, I’ve also obtained wisdom by life experiences. I believe that there's a "Silver Lining" to everything.
I have a very dynamic work history. I began working full-time at the age of 17, which one of my first jobs was working as a Legal Assistant for 5 years at a Law Firm in New London (TCORS). I’ve also worked in a variety of industries (including: Legal Administration, Office Administration (for the State of CT), Real Estate (which I was a Realtor for around 10 years & also leased apartments), Radio Advertising (for Redwolf Broadcasting / Full Power Radio), Promotional Modeling / Brand Ambassador, Cocktail Waitressing, Medical Billing, Telecom, Solar , & Insurance - to name a few! Plus, I helped manage/ marketed my exhusband’s hardwood floor business.)
At the age of 19, I got married & bought my 1st home in Southeastern CT. After 11 years of marriage, including 5 years of marriage therapy, I got divorced in 2013! I'm blessed to have 2 amazing sons from that chapter of my life, whom are 11 & 16.
I’m currently in the process of starting to write a book about my life, which is full of trauma, blessings, & silver linings. I've learned a variety of “Tools” to help navigate the unpredictable waters of life.
I feel strongly that our life experiences builds character & their is a “Silver Lining” to every situation. As through Adversity, Comes Our Greatest Strengths!
Life / God has taught many many valuable lessons, which I’m sure can be utilized to help people in all aspects of life.
While some people can read a book or go to school to become an 'EXPERT', I personally believe LIFE experiences can be a valuable tool / gift to share with people. I have learned to empathize and relate to most people on some level in the journey of life, which I’ve realized is one of my GIFTS.
I completed my Wellness Coaching certification in 2017 & completed my Corporate Wellness Certification in 2019.. I’m currently working on my Sport Yoga Certification, in which Ive been a Yoga practitioner for over 10 yrs.
